Talks about his love for basketball, making his mixtapes, the journey to releasing his upcoming highly anticipated album, his childhood, performs Who Dat, explains how he met Jay-Z and performs Lights Please.
I never got a chance to view this when it was on t.v. so seeing it now as a J.Cole fan it was interesting to get a look in on how he rose to fame. My favorite part was definitely getting to see him perform Light’s Please it was one of the first song’s I heard off his mixtape, “The Warm Up” that had me in awe over him.
“There should be a drug class, there should be sex education, there should be a class on scams, there should be a class on religious cults, there should be a class on police brutality, there should be a class on Apartheid, there should be a class on racism in America, there should be a class on why people are hungry, but there not, there classes on.. gym.”
